Corey started taking dance classes at the age of 4 at Constant Groove Dance Studio, performing in their competition troupes and performing solos until he was 17. His most notable achievement as a competition performer was being titled National Champion in the hip hop dance section at Showcase for 3 years.
It wasn’t until he went to high school that he started training in grooves and street styles. He successfully auditioned, and performed as part of the NSW Urban Dance Crew for 4 years during high school, performing at multiple events, including Schools Spectacular. Performing for artists like Anja Nissen, Jack Vidgen and Jai Waetford.
During this time he also performed in productions of Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story and Shrek The Musical with Packemin Productions.
Since then he has been actively working as a dancer, performing at corporate events, pop up shows, music videos, dance concept videos and flashmobs. He is currently a Showtime performer at Luna Park Sydney.
In 2018 Corey was selected to be a company dancer for the punk rock dance company The Blackguard, and performed in their sophomore production Still Breathing. He continues to train with The Blackguard under their training program The Dark Room, which specialises in “thrash contemporary”, krump, breaking, acro and acting.
In 2020 he started training with One Dance Collective, taking part in their program More than Movement.
Corey’s other artistic outlet is acting. Straight after finishing school he studied screen acting for 2 years, full time at Screenwise, attaining a Diploma of Screen Acting. He has since appeared in TV commercials for Origin Energy, Mad Mex, Telstra, QANTAS and Westpac.
Corey has been teaching dance for many years all over Sydney. He can’t wait to share what he learned to the groovy adults of the Hills district.
Fun fact, Corey was raised in the Hills district, living in the area for 21 years.
