Jen Horvath

Jen began dancing at the age of 5 years old at Robyn Kirkland School of Ballet. She further trained fulltime ballet at the Conlan College where she completed all grades of RAD and all with high distinction. She was one of eight finalists chosen state wide for the RAD Bursary, representing NSW in 2007. At the age of 16 she was accepted into the Australian Ballet school and moved to Melbourne to study at the school for one year in level 5. Also attending the Victorian of the Arts College during her time there.In 2010 She returned to Sydney and completed her dance studies at the McDonald College Of Performing Arts and in 2012 transitioned into contemporary with Jason Winters Certificate IV in Performing Arts and Diploma Of Dance (Elite Performance). Jen danced under Julia Horvath at Studio Tibor in 2013 and also started teaching ballet and contemporary at Robyn Kirkland School of Ballet and Rhapsody Studios. Jen was chosen as one of the top 100 dancers for “So You Think You Can Dance” Australia 2014. She joined Sydney Ballet Theatre in 2015. Jen has also attended many intensive workshops with various companies such as LA Contemporary Dance Company Summer School in 2014,Expressions Dance Company in 2015,Sydney Dance Company in 2015 and a secondment with Expressions Dance Company in 2015. In 2016, Jen was chosen as a company dancer with Limitless Dance Company and performed in their first production of “Both Sides” Choreographed by Mitchell Turnbull. Jen performed under Loredo Malcolm and his own Locreado Dance Company production of “Nothing”.
At the beginning of 2017 Jen was lucky enough to travel to London to take company class with “Sir Matthew Bourne” New Adventures and The Nederlands Dans Theater in the Den Haag. Jen is currently rehearsing for her second upcoming show in May with Limitless Dance Company and their performance of “SE7EN”, as they return after a successful first debut. *Biography written by Limitless Dance Company |
